Project title: How do microwaves affect seed germination?
Grade Level: Elementary school
Description: What is the effect of increasing exposure times of microwave radiation on radish seed germination? What is the effect of increasing exposure times of microwave radiation on radish seed sprout length?

Project title: How does acid rain affect seed germination?
Grade Level: Middle school
Description:
The purpose of this experiment was to determine the effect of acid on seed germination. I became interested in this idea because I know that acid rain is becoming a factor in pollution around the world. I know this from books I've studied and news articles I’ve read

Project title: How to build a wind turbine generator
Grade Level: High school
Description: These plans are for the construction of a machine called a Savonius wind turbine. Wind turbines come in two general types, those whose main turning shaft is horizontal and points into the wind, and those with a vertical shaft that points up. The Savonius is an example of the vertical axis type. It consists of two simple scoops that catch the wind and cause the shaft to turn.

Project title: Does the angle at which the Sun's rays fall on a solar cell affect the power that's produced?
Grade Level: Middle school
Description: I think that if the solar cell is placed perpendicular to the sun's rays, the power going to the cell will be maximized.

Project title: How to build a levitating train using magnets
Grade Level: Elementary school
Description: This is a great demonstration of like poles repelling each other. We have a platform which floats above a pair of magnetic tracks, and can be gently pushed to one end or the other.

Project title: What types of soda have the worst effect on our teeth?
Grade Level: Elementary school
Description: We test which type of soda will be the worst, based on the assumption that they are acidic and therefore corrosive on the enamel of our teeth.

Project title: Examine how much Carbon Dioxide is produced by different gas sources? This helps us understand the impact of these gas sources on global warming.
Grade Level: High school
Description: The purpose of this experiment is to compare the amount of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) produced by four different sources of gases.

Project title: How do Increased CO2 Levels Affect Plant Growth?
Grade Level: Middle school
Description: The problem with increased CO2 is its affect on global warming. CO2 is not a pollutant but it does trap infrared heat from radiating back into space. This phenomenon is known as the greenhouse effect. This global warming then affects global ecosystems by having effects on water vapor and other climate features. If CO2 levels continue to rise, the results to the planet are difficult to gauge. Some scientists believe that ocean levels may rise, ice caps could melt, droughts could occur, climates may change, and that life in general would be greatly affected.
